Lee Bienstock, the 22-year-old Orthodox Jewish business analyst from New York City who reached the final of the Donald trump show The Apprentice, was passed over for London-born recruitment consultant Sean Yazbeck in the finale on Monday night.
"Lee, you're fired. Sean, you're hired," announced Trump at the live broadcast in Los Angeles, where the sixth season of the show will take place.
Bienstock's observance of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur was an issue - mostly in his favor - during the course of the 16-week show.
Yazbeck, 33, who lives in Miami, will oversee the development of the Trump International Hotel and Tower, a 50-story condominium hotel in New York expected to be completed in 2008.
