Two people were lightly wounded on Friday morning when a Kassam rocket fired from northern Gaza landed in the heart of Sderot.

The rocket also caused damage to several houses and cars. The two casualties were evacuated to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon.
Another rocket hit an open area in the western Negev town. No one was wounded and no damage was reported.
A third rocket landed in a western Negev kibbutz, damaging a cowshed. No one was wounded.
Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for firing the Kassams.
Meanwhile, Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal estimated that renovation work for the rocket-hit town's bomb shelters would be completed by next month.
The project, which has cost an estimated NIS 6 million, was funded by the private International Fellowship of Christians and Jews trust, Israel Radio reported.
On Thursday, a group of left-wing activists fired tomatoes, corn and eggs into the area from where Gazans had been firing rockets, in order to demonstrate the helplessness of the government.
The activists fired the vegetables from an improvised cannon, which was made from sewage pipes and flammable liquid. The vegetables were covered with soup in order to minimize friction.
Several minutes later, IDF soldiers arrived at the scene and asked the activists to stop the vegetable fire.
