Police on Friday continued their countrywide search for escaped mental patient Eliyahu Pahima, who is suspected of murder.
Pahima, 46, escaped Thursday from his medical staff that was accompanying him to Nazareth District Court, where he was due to undergo a hearing.
Pahima, had been hospitalized in Sha'ar Menashe following a court ruling after psychiatrists decided that he was not mentally fit to stand trial for a murder he allegedly committed in 2002.
Police were focusing their searches in Haifa, Krayot, Hadera and his home city, Jerusalem, where his family still lives.
Pahima is described as being 1.70 meters tall, with a full build and white hair. When he escaped, he was wearing a white buttoned shirt, jeans and black shoes.
Police urged members of the public to contact them immediately upon any suspected sightings of Pahima.
