A shopkeeper in his 50s was moderately wounded during an attempted robbery of his shop in Tel Aviv on Sunday evening.
According to Army Radio, two masked men, armed with guns, arrived at the shop and demanded that the owner hand them the money. When he refused, they shot at his lower body.
The man was evacuated to the city's Ichilov Hospital.
Police were searching the area for the perpetrators.
