The man claimed that he had a number of gas cannisters in his possession, which security personnel later found in his car.

Police and firefighters were alerted to the scene and managed to bring the situation under control.

The man was arrested and taken for questioning, and the compound was reopened after a few minutes.

Police said that the man and his family were recently evicted from their Jerusalem apartment, which may have been the motivation behind the man's actions.
