President Barack Obama spent more than two hours with his war council Wednesday talking about how long it would take to implement various strategies he has been presented, the White House said.
Obama met Wednesday in the White House Situation Room with his senior national security team talking about what resources would be needed to turn around the eight-year-old war. The White House said Afghanistan must improve and that the United States was not committed to staying there forever.
White House officials repeated that Obama had not made a decision.
