Aleh Negev is a rehabilitation village for autisitic and brain damaged children and adults in southern Israel. Located near Ofakim and covering 25 acres, it falls under the jurisdiction of Merhavim Regional Council. The village is also called Nahalat Eran, named after the mentally disabled son of Aluf Doron Almog who lived there until his death. The village was established by the Aleh orgaisation and will be home to 220 children and adults, as well as serving 12,000 out-patients. Ground was broken by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on 12 June 2003.
