FK Teplice is a Czech football club based in the city of Teplice (80 km north of Prague). The club was founded after the World War II in 1945. The club advanced to the 1st Czechoslovak division in just 3 years after being founded and played mostly in the 1st and 2nd Czechoslovak division and after split of Czechoslovakia in the 1st and 2nd Czech division. After the Velvet Revolution and comeback of rich sponsor, Glaverbel, the club returned to the 1st division in 1996 and had a big success winning the Czech Football Cup and beating Feyenoord Rotterdam, 1. FC Kaiserslautern but were eventually defeated by Glasgow Celtic in the UEFA Cup.
