Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani, is the Emir of the state of Qatar. He is one of his highness Sheik Hamad bin Khalid bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani relatives. He rose to that position on June 26, 1995, after deposing his father, who was vacationing in Switzerland at the time.
