In support of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on October 24 at noon the Cameri Theater will host the Etgar Theater's production of Gili, a monodrama featuring Sarit Vino-Elad that won first prize at TheaterNetto 2005.
Sponsored by the One-in-Nine Foundation, Gili, adapted from Gili's Book by Dr. Henia Shnun-Klein, tells the story of Shnun-Klein's struggle to come to terms with her 11-year-old daughter's death following a traffic accident. Broadcaster Orna Yakir, who died of breast cancer several months ago, adapted the story.
One-in-Nine (one in nine women has or may get breast cancer) is a local organization promoting breast cancer awareness.
