Israel Prize for painting to go to Pinhas Cohen-Gan

The Israel Prize for painting will be awarded this year to Prof. Pinhas Cohen-Gan.
The 66-year-old artist is a graduate of Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem and has exhibited both in Israel and abroad.
The prize panel praised "Cohen-Gan's absolute commitment to art as a way of life and the rich complexity of his work."
