The Shlomi Alternative Theater Center will hold outdoor events at the Sderot Film Festival from June 1-5 at a special structure they've called Caferiferia, a portmanteau word for café and periphery. Caferiferia is an installation, a café and a focus for all kinds of artistic activities in which the public can participate - workshops, shows, movies, even design. SATC coartistic director Pablo Salzman says, "Sure, we realize the real-time danger, but that doesn't stop us from creating." Anybody brave enough to join the intrepid SATC artists will have a wonderful time with this innovative and original company. It won the 2008 Golden Hedgehog Fringe Award for Sleeping and SATC cofounder Neta Plotsky was given the Lifetime Achievement award. For more information in Hebrew, click here
