TA invites cutting-edge French dance

From April 14-18, the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv will be presenting the French Connection II, five days of contemporary French dance, courtesy of the French government, the French embassy and others. Artists involved in cutting edge dance in France will present their work to Israeli audiences, displaying their range and abilities. Among those attending are Alban Richard and his Ensemble L'Abrupt with Remote based on Wagner's Tristan and Isolde; choreographer/dancer Bernardo Montet with his solo Batrachian, Afternoon; the Herman Diephuis Ensemble with Delilah and Samson, for Example, a new take on this biblical twosome; the Sylvain Groud company with Omission, and Preoccupied Zones about 9/11 and that year's elections in the US; Christian Rizzo and his Association Fragil have Like Skull, Like Cult, a surreal solo about a symbolic motorcyclist. The First French Connection was in December 2005.
