Acre theater troupe hits South Africa

The group is performing An Arab Dream, with a new arrangement by Moni Yosef.

The Acre Theater Center is representing Israel in MUSHO!, an international theater festival in South Africa which runs from January 3-13. The group is performing An Arab Dream, with a new arrangement by Moni Yosef. The production was first shown in Acre in 1996, and deals with the collective split personality of the Arab-Israeli community as it struggles with traditional Arab values and their clash with the surrounding Jewish community. The theater recently returned from a series of performances of Wish Upon a Star at the Dancing on the Edge Festival in Holland, where it was met with acclaim and was singled out by critics.
