Today at 6p.m. the Hebrew translation of J.K. Rowling's sixth Harry Potter novel will arrive in stores. There have already been 18,000 preliminary orders for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and it couldn't come at a better time for parents seeking Hanukka gifts.
Publishers of the book - Aliyat Hagag Books and Yedioth Ahronoth - have printed 120,000 copies in preparation for the buyers' onslaught. At least two launching parties will take place today, with entertainment including magic shows, candies and drinks taken from the book (pumpkin juice, Butterbeer) and an orchestra. The publishers are inviting the children to come in costume.
The book launchings will take place at 4 P.M. at Tel Aviv's Tsomet Sfarim bookstore in Dizengoff Center (where actor Kobi Mahat will read from the book), and at 5 P.M. at Steimatsky's in the Arim Mall in Kfar Sava (where actor Avi Greinik will read).
