The big winner at the Ophir Awards, the Israel Academy of Film's prizes presented last night at the Tel Aviv Opera House, was Waltz with Bashir.
The animated film about the First Lebanon War won best director and best screen play for Avi Folman, as well as three other awards. The film now becomes Israel's official selection to be considered for an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film.
Best actor went to Michael Moshonov for his role in Lost Islands. Best actress went to Hiam Abbass for her role in Lemon Tree.
