American stand-up comes back to Israel starting Sunday, with two returning shows featuring prominent US comedians. The Crossroads Center Benefit Tour, now in its third year, will again feature three top American comedians as well as Israeli-born comedian Avi Liberman, who has brought over American comedians to perform in Israel for the last five years.
The American trio this year starts off with Gary Gulman, who has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, and has starred in three television pilots. Craig Robinson has performed on numerous television comedy shows, and currently plays Darryl Philbin on The Office. Dwight Slade has opened for Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld and acted in two films, in addition to frequent television appearances.
The Crossroads Center provides social services for at-risk English- speaking youth and will receive all proceeds from the event.
Dave Siegel also returns to Israel this week, hosted by the Off the Wall Comedy Empire collective. Siegel has opened for Louie Anderson, Richard Lewis and Robin Williams and appears on Comedy Central's Laugh Riots and Paula Zahn Now on CNN.
