Soul and funk diva Macy Gray has announced she will be performing two exclusive shows at the Zappa Club in Tel Aviv on August 4 and 5.
The American R&B, soul singer, famed for her raspy voice and Billie Holiday singing-style, has released four studio albums to date. Her fourth album, Big, released last March, received five Grammy nominations.
Gray (born Natalie Renee McIntyre) is back on the scene now following a four year hiatus. Big is largely considered her comeback album, and has been critically as her best work yet. It features collaborations with Natalie Cole, Fergie, Justin Timberlake, and will.i.am, who co-executive produced the album with Gray.
