DJ maestro John Digweed will be kicking off his worldwide Transitions Vol. 3 promotion tour at the TLV nightclub in Tel Aviv in a gig co-sponsored by uber-cool mini-club Dada. Digweed holds a highly respected place as DJ, producer, and trendsetter in the electronic dance music scene worldwide and in Israel. DJ Shlomi Zidan and DJ Asi Kojak, Dada residents, will warm up for Digweed. "He loves Israel," says Omer Gershon, marketing director for the TLV group, of the British native. "He feels at home here - very welcome. He loves coming here and playing here. He and Sasha used to come here a lot when they here when they were lesser known." DJ Sasha, another globetrotting DJ, was Digweed's musical collaborator and fellow resident DJ at the famous Twilo nightclub in New York. In 2001, Digweed was voted the #1 DJ by London-based ,i>DJ Magazine's annual poll. He has drawn big crowds at his previous solo sets in Israel over the years.
