Israel Symphony Orchestra goes on South American tour

The Israel Symphony Orchestra has two programs, one devoted to Rachmaninov and Tchaikovski and the other to Richard Strauss and Beethoven.

The Israel Symphony Orchestra - Rishon Lezion, conducted by music director Dan Ettinger, gave the first of its eight concerts in South America in Cordoba, Argentina on August 2. The last concert will be on August 14 in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The ISO has two programs, one devoted to Rachmaninov and Tchaikovski and the other to Richard Strauss and Beethoven. The Beethoven is his 9th symphony and features Brazil's Sao Paulo Choir. This is the first time in 15 years that the ISO has made a foreign tour.
