Mark Ronson heading to Israel

Ronson to play in Tel Aviv.

Super-producer Mark Ronson will perform two shows in Tel Aviv at the start of December, along with The Version Players, his orchestra and backup singers. The three-time Grammy winner will play new mixes of his popular work. The English-born, New York-raised Ronson recently found new fame for his work with Amy Winehouse (for which he won a Grammy), Lilly Allen, Phantom Planet and Robbie Williams. His 2007 album, Version, includes covers of popular songs, including Britney Spears's "Toxic" and The Smiths' "Stop Me." Ronson's style mixes hip-hop with a 1940s jazz sound, wind instruments, Motown and a large dose of soul. He will appear at the Zappa Club on December 3 and 4. Tickets are NIS 200 and are available at (03) 767-4646.
