Songwriter Randy Newman coming

Newman is stopping in Israel as part of his world tour to promote his latest album, Harps and Angels.

Five-time Grammy winner Randy Newman is making his way to Tel Aviv for a show on November 23. The singer-songwriter, known for his satirical lyrics, began his career in the 1960s writing hits for other performers. His songs were recorded by a number of popular artists, including The O'Jays, Dusty Springfield, Pat Boone, Ray Charles and Three Dog Night. During the '70s, he moved to the front of the stage with a number of hit albums of his own. He began working on film soundtracks in the '80s, winning an Oscar for the score to Monster's Inc in 2002. Newman is stopping in Israel as part of his world tour to promote his latest album, Harps and Angels.
