Acclaimed British electronica rapper Mike Skinner, better known as The Streets, will be performing twice in Israel next month - at the Zappa Club on April 14th and the next night at Hangar 11. The latter show will be part of a mini-festival also featuring local acts The Giraffes, Berry Sakharof and Hadag Nahash. Skinner, who has released three universally praised albums since 2001, is set to release number four in the spring. He'll be accompanied by 10 musicians on his dates here. The Streets' 2002 masterpiece Original Pirate Material - a self-described "day in the life of a geezer" - combines biting social commentary with Skinner's trademark infectious dance music.
