One of the leading American cutting-edge bands, The Walkmen, are coming to Tel Aviv for a show on August 14 at the Barbie Club.

Over the course of 10 years and seven albums, including this year’s acclaimed Heaven, the New York-based quintet has evolved into the most respected band on the alternative rock landscape.

Their dense and swirling music, led by explosive vocalist Hamilton Leithauser, draws from a broad palette and influences as diverse as The Velvet Underground, The Cure, Television and New Order.

Their show could likely be the high point of a truly bursting season of visiting musical talent.
