Spotlight on folk singer-songwriter Sandy Cash, who has been living in Israel for the past 21 years.

Sandy Cash, already well-known as a singer-songwriter to Israel's Anglo folk music lovers, has been living here for the past 21 years. She has released three solo albums: Exact Change (2000), A Thing So Real (2003) and Sandy Cash Live Volume I - The Bawdy Years (2005).
She has a background in musical theater which has included work as an actress at Tel Aviv's Cameri Theater, performances in Les Miserables with Dudu Fisher and performances in Evita with Riki Gal. Usually she performs several times a month. A recent pleasure was acting in the JEST (Jerusalem English Speaking Theater) production of Prairie Lights with her son "who has a yetzer for performing just like his mom." This past November she went on her second US tour to 16 different cities. While she enjoyed it immensely and hopes to do more, she admits that having four children between the ages of six and 13 makes it a challenging goal.
It's those very challenges that Cash views with humor as she tells her stories through music. She calls her show an "extended conversation with the audience," sharing her perspective on trying to raise a (semi-) normal family in Israel.
When AACI decided to start a new Saturday night concert series, Saturday Night Live, they turned to Cash launch it. She does so tomorrow night at 8:30 at the Jerusalem branch, located at 11 Pinsker Street in the Talbiyeh neighborhood. Details at (02) 561-7151.
