This is what passes for “news” from a pro-Palestinian web site, sympathetic to Hamas:

A group of 75 Israeli officers, in their military uniforms, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday morning from the Mughrabi Gate, Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage confirmed in a statement. These groups have received instructions and explanations in different parts of al-Aqsa Mosque, and they have taken collective and individual photos in the Mosque and its different buildings. At the same time, about 20 Jewish settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque where some of them have performed Talmudic rituals.

Did you count the number of horrific Israeli deeds/crimes?

Soldiers, in uniform, visited the Temple Mount.  Sorry, they “stormed” the site.

The history of the place was explained to them.  Sorry, they received instructions.

They used cameras.

Twenty other civilian Jews also visited, sorry, “stormed” the Temple Mount.

And, worse of all, the “performed Talmudic rituals”.

As a veteran activist and campaigner, since September 1970, for Jewish rights according to the law, unlike Anat Hoffman, I do not ‘break’ a law in my actions but am trying to get the government, its agencies and the courts, to fulfill the law, the one that reads:

The Holy Places shall be protected from desecration and any other violation and from anything likely to violate the freedom of access of the members of the different religions to the places sacred to them or their feelings with regard to those places.
  1.  Whosoever desecrates or otherwise violates a Holy Place shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of seven years.
  2. Whosoever does anything likely to violate the freedom of access of the members of the different religions to the places sacred to them or their feelings with regard to those places shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of five years.

Unlike the Women of the Wall, no regulations have been fixed to facilitate the above-quoted Law for the Protection of the Holy Places, 1967.  All that is in play is the ability of the police to convince judges and ministers that an immediate danger exists which would result in the disruption of the public order.  Having accomplished that, Jews are denied their legal rights either to free access or and including freedom of worship.

Of course, as has been pointed out numerous times of the past four decades, this approach only results in providing miscreants the rationale and also the encouragement to either riot violently or even better, and less dangerous, threaten violence.

That is no way to maintain the public peace.

And it is no way to uphold the law.  The human rights of one group are sacrificed without any attempt to seek a compromise or to force a coexistence.

The winners are people who compose such claptrap as above and the losers?  The democratic, Jewish, Zionist state of Israel.

The law?  Or the lore of the law?
