Ten-thousand policemen were placed on alert on Thursday, in preparation for the massive haredi demonstration expected today in support of parents from the Beit Ya'akov school in Emmanuel.

The parents are due to enter prison as a result of their refusal to obey a supreme court injunction, ordering them to allow their children to study alongside Sephardi girls.

Magen David Adom also said they were on alert for the demonstration.
