26-year-old dies after complications from c-section surgery

A 26-year-old woman died on Sunday morning after complications from a c-section operation she had undergone on Thursday at Hadera's Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. The Health Ministry has launched an investigation into the rare death.

According to the hospital, the woman was treated according to procedure and felt well in the hours following the operation, but then lost consciousness during the night. The woman was then rushed to the operating room, where doctors detected abdominal hemorrhaging. The medical team managed to stabilize her but she died of her wounds in the recovery room.
