A 27-year-old man from Beersheba drowned overnight Friday off the coast of Ashkelon.

The man had reportedly been drinking alcohol with friends before entering the water with them. When he disappeared, his friends called the police, and searches went on throughout the night.

The man’s body was finally found hours later washed up by a pier.
