An 28-year-old Eritrean man was found murdered in Netanya on Thursday evening, the result of what police are calling a violent confrontation with another foreign resident in Israel.

Police are currently searching the city for a suspect seen fleeing the scene on foot.At the moment police said they still don’t know if the victim was illegally residing in Israel or was in the country under refugee status.

The man was found dead on the city's Zangvild Street, home to a number of buildings housing foreign workers.
