A 30-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday night in Tel Aviv in what police to be a targeted murder.

The man, killed in his car, had formerly been a state witness.

Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene initiated CPR but were unable to resuscitate the victim.

A large number of police forces arrived at the scene and authorities have initiated a search for the attackers, who fled the scene.
