A 35-year-old man from Tiberias was arrested on Monday on the suspicion of sending threatening text messages of a sexual nature to a 28-year-old woman from the Haifa region.

Police reported that the women filed a complaint after the man, who she met in online chats, started contacting her phone directly with threats and messages with sexual content against her wishes.

The suspect is expected to be brought to Nazareth Magistrate's Court later in the day to have his remand set.
