An approximately 50-year-old woman was struck by a car and killed on Gdud Haivri Street in Tel Aviv on Friday.

MDA paramedics called to the scene pronounced the woman dead after attempts to resuscitate her failed.

The driver whose vehicle hit the woman claimed she was laying in the street and he did not see her. The driver was detained for questioning.
