A 70-year-old Nazereth resident, who was terminally ill and bed bound, was killed Monday after a fire broke out at his apartment in the Bir Al-Amir neighborhood.

A Magen David Adom crew arrived at the apartment and were forced to confirm hid death.

Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and reported that there is no suspicion of criminal involvement.
