A 16-year-old Arab girl was prevented from carry out a terror attack in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City after Border Police found a knife hidden in her purse on Monday afternoon.

Border Police on patrol in the Quarter noticed the teen, who was acting suspicious, and decided to search her belongings.

While maintaining a safe distance for security reasons, the officers searched her purse and found a knife hidden inside.

The suspect was taken for questioning to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
