Beit Hayahudi MKs said they asked "tough questions" in a meeting at the Knesset Monday with US Ambassador Dan Shapiro.

After the meeting, Shapiro called it "a good exchange of views in which both sides learned from the other."

Shapiro told The Jerusalem Post that he was hopeful that the new defense pact between Israel and the US could be reached soon.

Shapiro said he believes new Defense Minster Avigdor Liberman, who will be going to the US in two weeks, can play a positive role.
