BAGHDAD - A suicide bomber driving a car killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 40 others on Saturday in an attack near a group of Shi'ite Muslim pilgrims in a southeastern suburb of Baghdad, police sources said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast at a market in the Nahrawan district but Islamic State regularly attacks civilians in and around the Iraqi capital.

Police sources said the death toll could rise given the high number of injuries.
