The Canadian government on Friday revoked the citizenship of suspected Nazi war criminal Helmut Oberlander, who now faces possible deportation.

The 88-year-old Ukrainian is a suspected former member of Detachment 10a of Einsatzgruppe D, a mobile killing unit that murdered tens of thousands of Jews in the former Soviet Union during WWII.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center had listed Oberlander as one of the ten most wanted Nazi war criminals.
