Car bomb kills 7 and injures 21 west of Baghdad

BAGHDAD — A car bomb has killed seven people and wounded 21 others west of Baghdad, Iraqi police and hospital officials said on Sunday.
The officials said the blast took place Sunday between a petrol station and an abandoned cinema in the center of Ramadi, 70 miles (115 kilometers) west of the Iraqi capital.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Violence has dramatically dropped in Iraq since 2008, but insurgent attacks remain a daily occurrence, especially in the capital Baghdad.
