A ceremony to replace the Military Intelligence chief took place on Monday in Tel Aviv. Departing Military Intelligence Chief Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin will be replaced by Brig.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi, a 46-year-old former head of the IDF’s Operations Division.

The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and IDF Chief of General Staff Gabi Ashkenazi. Yadlin was highly praised by both for his years of service.
