Confection restaurant sued over deadly allergic attack

The family of the girl from Eilat that died after eating a Belgium waffle topped with the hazelnut-based chocolate spread Nutella is suing confection chain La Goffre and the restaurant's Tel Aviv concessionaire for NIS 5.5 million, Israel Radio reported Thursday.
According to the report, NIS 1 million from the total claim in the lawsuit was a request for punitive damages incurred when the restaurant destroyed CCTV video from the event.
