Congressmen as Obama to enforce Iran sanctions

US congressmen Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and Ron Klein (D-Fla.) sent a letter on Monday asking President Barack Obama to immediately enforce sanctions against Iran.

The two cited news reports outlining apparent violations of the recently enacted Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act of 2010,.

“Time is running out to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran,” Kirk and Klein wrote the letter.

“Sanctions represent the most viable diplomatic tool to pressure the Government of Iran to change course and meet its international obligations,” the lawmakers said.
