A couple have been shot and critically injured in an apartment in Netanya.

Emergency services found the woman injured with a gunshot wound to the head and the man with a gunshot wound the chest.

Police suspect the man attempted to shoot dead his wife before trying to commit suicide.

Police are on the scene and have launched an investigation.
