The couple that owned a steel door in the stairwell of the apartment which fell and killed eighteen-month-old baby on Tuesday in the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood of Jerusalem were released from custody late on Tuesday evening after posting NIS 5,000 bail.

The couple must stay out of the building for five days and are not allowed to contact any of the family members of the victim. The police investigation is ongoing. Daniel Sitavon was killed when a steel door fell on him on Tuesday, while his mother was locking the stroller to the banister. The couple in the first floor apartment had changed their door months ago but hadn't moved the old door.
