Court extends remand of man suspected of murdering mother

The Tel Aviv Magistrate's court on Sunday extended for a week the remand of a 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering his mother.

Police arrested Binyamin Daniel Davidi in north Tel Aviv at 3 a.m. Sunday morning. His mother, Danya Davidi, was found stabbed,

A police representative told the court that the initial evidence suggested the killing was premeditated, and that Davidi had told police that he had drunk a glass of wine that evening, but that he had not taken drugs.

According to the police representative, Davidi had no fixed address and stayed with his mother occasionally, and was not suffering from a disturbed mental state.
