Court stenographers return to work after treasury okays salary raises

The court stenographers have ended their four-week strike and will return to their keyboards in the courtrooms Sunday morning, after representatives reached understandings with treasury officials. According to the agreement, the brachygraphers will receive salary hikes reaching 25 percent, and other perks that have been denied of them over the years. The majority of them will also be considered state employees from now on.
