MK Danny Danon (Likud) asked the Knesset House Committee on Thursday to revoke UAL-Ta'al MK Ahmed Tibi's immunity and diplomatic passport.

Danon's request came after Tibi flew to the UN's General Assembly in New York on the Palestinian delegation's plane, and expressed support for its statehood bid.

Last year, MK Haneen Zoabi (Balad) lost her immunity and diplomatic passport following the Turkish flotilla incident.

"Just as Zoabi cooperated with a terrorist organization, Tibi is befriending those who act against Israel, and must be punished," Danon said.

The Likud MK also plans to propose a bill that would eject an MK from the Knesset if 80 MKs vote to do so.
