Darfur rebels: Sudan army killed 27 people

Darfur rebels on Friday blamed the Sudanese military for killing 27 people in a campaign that lasted a week and included air and ground assaults on rebel positions, Reuters reported Friday.

According to the report, the Sudanese army said it killed 17 rebels in South Darfur in fighting between Wednesday and Friday, but denied reports or air assaults.
