BEIRUT - A bomb blast hit near a mosque in the Syrian coastal city of Latakia on Thursday, killing and wounding a number of people, state television and Lebanese Hezbollah's Al Manar TV reported. The explosion, which the state-run Ikhbariya channel described as a terrorist attack, took place near the city center as people were leaving prayers.
