Delay in gas from Egypt continues

Ampal-American Israel Corporation, which has a 12.5 percent interest in EMG, said Wednesday that the gas supply to Israel "is expected to resume later this month." Last week, Ampal said gas was expected to resume flowing on Thursday.
Gas supply was disrupted because of an explosion on a GASCO (Egyptian gas transport company) pipeline in January. A delay in repair work on that pipeline has further extended the stoppage in the gas supply.
The damaged pipeline is not part of EMG's network but the Egyptian National Gas Company has delayed resuming supply until the pipeline is fixed.
